Picsart has launched Aura, a new AI-powered creative tool that turns voice prompts into social posts and short-form videos in a matter of minutes. The company says Aura builds on its existing editor and is built to reduce creative friction by guiding users from idea to finished content via conversation.
Aura sits inside the Picsart platform, which has more than 130 million monthly users. It functions as a voice-first collaborator that responds to natural language prompts rather than traditional layered editing methods.
The tool evolved from Picsart’s image editor, and was developed after analyzing more than 100,000 user prompts to better understand common creative requests and patterns. It address what it Picsart calls the “blank canvas” problem, where users struggle with how to begin.
Instead of manually assembling elements, users speak or type in their instructions, and the system generates images, animations, or short videos based on that.
Hovhannes Avoyan, Founder and CEO of Picsart, said: “The old model required you to master the tool before you could create. With Aura, we’ve eliminated that barrier entirely. The software learns you; your aesthetic, your workflow, your voice.”
He added: “The old model required you to master the tool before you could create. With Aura, we’ve eliminated that barrier entirely. The software learns you; your aesthetic, your workflow, your voice. It’s less like using an editor and more like working with a creative partner who understands what you’re trying to achieve.”
Picsart Aura uses
Aura supports both image and video generation within the same session. A user can create a product photo, convert it into a marketing graphic, animate it into a short video, and extend it further with music without needing to switch tools.
Creators can turn static photos into animated clips in about 60 seconds. There is also a Video Extend feature, which expands short clips into longer pieces.
Small businesses can generate marketing visuals from basic product photos, while individual users can edit group photos or create trend-based content via voice commands. The platform also supports built-in sharing and collaborative sessions so multiple users can refine projects together in real time.
Aura maintains context across sessions and adapts to user preferences over time, suggesting visual styles and formats based on prior interactions.
Although Aura focuses on conversational creation, users can switch into the full Picsart editor for manual tweaks like brushwork, typography, and stickers and then return to the conversational workflow to continue where they left off.
The launch follows other AI-related releases from Picsart, including Flow, an automation tool, and AI Assistant for more detailed editing workflows.
Picsart is available on the web and mobile.
