Right now is a great time to pick up a new MacBook. Not only have several new models hit the market recently, but they’ve received price cuts at Amazon and other leading retailers.

Even better still, there’s a model for everyone right now, thanks to the release of the new MacBook Neo. That starts at just $589 (was $599) at Amazon today, which is an almost unbelievable price considering what the Neo is capable of. If someone had said a year ago that a brand new MacBook would be available for under $600, I wouldn’t have believed them.

Aside from the fact that there’s a MacBook for pretty much everyone right now, I suspect these price cuts at Amazon and other retailers will be unbeaten for a few months down the line. Even with the Memorial Day sales just around the corner, I doubt that retailers will post discounts much better than this – these are brand new models, after all.

Today’s deal on the MacBook Air M5 is particularly good, since it addresses the main issue we had with the model when we reviewed it earlier this year. We loved the new chipset and increased storage, but felt the upcharge in price was a little steep considering it has the same design and display as the previous iteration. Now, it’s much easier on the pocket, however.
