The Walmart Labor Day sale has some superb deals this week, and one of the best I’ve seen is easily this MSI Katana 15 gaming laptop for just $1,099 (was $1,499).

That may seem a little pricey for a laptop, but this particular configuration features not just an RTX 5070 graphics card, but also a superb Intel Core i7-14650HX chipset. It’s rare to see a gaming laptop with specs this good for this price – especially considering the RTX 5070 is one of the latest cards from Nvidia.

With such powerful specs, you can expect a superb gaming experience with this machine right out of the box. It does only come with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, but the RAM in particular is a very easy (and cheap) upgrade that you can do yourself without much hassle. If you do so, then you’ll have a great machine that should last a few good years down the line.

Cheap RTX 5070 gaming laptop deal at Walmart

Walmart is currently throwing in a free copy of Battlefield 6 with this machine as part of a tie-in with the Intel Gamer Days event. That’s just the cherry on top here, though, as this machine is wildly good value regardless of the freebie or not. For the record, this MSI Katana easily meets the recommended requirements for Battlefield 6, so you can expect smooth frame rates for sure.

Note, it’s not just Walmart offering excellent gaming laptop deals over Labor Day. If you’re interested, I’ve rounded up a few alternative options to check out just below.
