We’ve recently announced our laptop of the year, and with perfect timing, it’s just hit a record-low price. Right now, you can buy the MacBook Air 13-inch (M4) at Best Buy for $799 (was $999) – and it’s a steal of a deal.

That’s because the latest MacBook Air M4 has just come out on top in the TechRadar Choice Awards 2025, meaning you can’t go wrong with it. It has a stylish and modern design, while the M4 chip offers excellent performance for both daily tasks and more demanding workloads, such as video and photo editing.

Today’s best MacBook deal

Our Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (M4) review had so many wonderful things to say about it. We called it the “best ultraportable”, remarking that its “design is still the best”, it offers “all-day battery life”, and its “M4 chip delivers top-notch performance”.

It’s the best MacBook to buy right now. Sure, the Apple M5 chip has just been unveiled, but that’s only for the MacBook Pro and iPad Pro at the moment. Plus, it’s not as big an upgrade as you might expect. The M4 chip in the MacBook Air can handle whatever you plan on doing.

Rounding things off well, the MacBook Air has a design which is less than half an inch thick and incredibly light, so it’ll easily fit into your bag. It also has neat extras like a 12MP Center Stage webcam, three mics, and four speakers with Spatial Audio. Ideal for relaxing during downtime and watching a movie.
