The 8849 TANK X is a new rugged Android phone that combines a built-in 1080p projector with a large battery and high-end hardware. It targets outdoor users and field workers who need a durable device that can also handle media, lighting, and power duties.

The built-in projector delivers 1080p resolution at 220 lumens. It includes auto-focus and a one-touch projection feature, letting users turn a wall or flat surface into a display for videos, presentations, or other content.

The phone also carries a 17,600mAh battery that supports up to a week of typical daily use on a single charge. The battery works with 120W fast charging and reverse charging, allowing the device to power other electronics in the field.

Inside, the TANK X uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor built on a 4nm process. It supports 5G connectivity and Wi-Fi 6, with the focus on multitasking, gaming, and streaming while maintaining power efficiency.

It comes with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD, allowing multiple demanding apps to run at once and with enough space for large files such as maps, video, and project data.

The phone comes with Android 15 with updated privacy controls, revised notifications, and battery management improvements.

The TANK X has a triple-camera system — a 50MP main camera, a 64MP night-vision shooter, and a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

There’s also a built-in 1200-lumen camping light. This can be used for outdoor activities, work sites, or emergency situations where a strong light source will come in handy.

The TANK X is available now, priced at $549.99 down from its $1049.99 MSRP.
