INQ and Filevine Announce Exclusive Legal Technology Partnership Integrating Digital Handwriting with AI-Powered Workflows

INQ Group AB (publ) (“INQ”, formerly Anoto Group AB) and Filevine today announce a strategic technology partnership to integrate digital handwriting with AI-powered legal workflows. Under the agreement, INQ became the exclusive supplier of digital writing technology to Filevine, combining INQ’s handwriting expertise with Filevine’s LOIS platform to modernize how legal professionals capture information.

Under the agreement, INQ is the exclusive supplier of digital writing technology to Filevine within the legal technology sector, subject to continuing volume commitments. The initial order comprises 2,000 custom-branded INQ digital pens together with notebooks, software, and associated technology.

Filevine is integrating INQ’s digital handwriting technology into LOIS using newly developed INQ SDKs and firmware. The integration is designed to allow handwritten information captured naturally on paper to become part of Filevine’s digital and AI-driven workflows.

Filevine intends to distribute the custom-branded INQ pens and notebooks to its customer base as an integrated part of its product offering. This partnership marks a significant milestone for both companies: it provides Filevine’s community of 100,000+ legal professionals with groundbreaking new capabilities, while significantly accelerating INQ’s expansion into the US enterprise market.

The collaboration has involved substantial joint technical development to optimize INQ’s technology for Filevine’s use case, including new firmware and SDK capabilities. The resulting platform combines physical handwriting capture with Filevine’s software and AI capabilities, allowing information created with pen and paper to be incorporated directly into modern legal workflows.”This partnership is an important commercial validation of the INQ platform and of our enterprise strategy as we start to open the US market,” said Jonathan Faiman, CEO of INQ Group AB. “Filevine has built the most innovative technology platform in the legal industry, and integrating INQ directly into LOIS demonstrates what becomes possible when natural handwriting is connected seamlessly to AI. It also demonstrates that INQ is not simply a digital pen: it is a platform that allows enterprise partners to build handwriting into their own applications, workflows, and customer propositions at scale. We expect to announce further significant enterprise transactions in the coming months.”

“Pen and paper remain an enduring form factor in the practice of law for client meetings, depositions, case mapping, proceedings and more. Our goal is to give legal professionals faster and more natural ways to capture, understand and act on information,” said Michael Anderson, CPO of Filevine. “By integrating INQ’s digital handwriting technology with LOIS, we can connect the simplicity and familiarity of pen and paper with the power of AI-driven legal workflows in the context layer of a legal matter. We believe this can remove friction from the way legal professionals work and make valuable information immediately more useful within Filevine.”

Order & Execution Overview

The initial order was agreed during the first quarter of 2026, with the majority of the products delivered and revenue recognized during the second quarter.

For INQ, the Filevine deployment provides an important proof point for the scalability of its enterprise platform. In addition to its core digital writing technology, INQ can provide partners with customized firmware, SDKs, branded hardware, notebooks, and packaging, enabling businesses to incorporate digital handwriting into their own products and services.

The companies expect the relationship to expand subject to customer adoption and future volume requirements.
