Is there a better tech gift out there than buying our laptop of the year? We don’t think so. Today, you can buy the MacBook Air M4 at Best Buy for $799 (was $999) with the option to trade-in an old machine for an even bigger discount.

It’s the ideal last-minute purchase to make ahead of the holidays. Ranking highly in the TechRadar Choice Awards, we’re a big fan of the Apple MacBook Air M4. It has a stylish and modern design, with its M4 chip offering excellent performance for daily tasks and also demanding acts such as video and photo editing.

Today’s best MacBook deal

Go take a look at our MacBook Air M4 review and you’ll see why we love it so much. We gave it 4.5 stars calling it “the best ultraportable”. The M4 chip “delivers top-notch performance” which means you don’t have to worry about the M5 chip.

Its “design is still the best” while the all-day battery life means it’s great for a wide range of tasks and needs. It even still sports a 3.5mm headphone jack while there are plenty of other ports.

Unsurprisingly, this model is at the top of our best MacBooks roundup. Its thin and lightweight nature makes it perfect for travel but also you’ll appreciate the four speakers with Spatial Audio, and 12MP Center Stage webcam. If I were in the market for a new Mac, this is the system I would get.

It’s hard to find a better option out there, but if your needs differ, do take a look at the laptop deals available elsewhere. If you’re more interested in gaming, there are some fantastic gaming laptop deals as well.
