MyPicture has launched a browser-based Photo Prints App that lets UK customers upload, edit, and order up to 500 photo prints without downloading software or creating an account. The new tool runs entirely in a web browser and simplifies the process of ordering printed photos from mobile and desktop devices.
The company says the move addresses the “app download tax”, which is “where a customer, ready to print a holiday album or family milestone, is stopped in their tracks by a forced software installation.”

Citing industry research, MyPicture points to growing app fatigue and data showing many consumers download no new apps in a typical month and will often abandon a purchase when prompted to install new software.

The Photo Prints App removes that step by keeping the full process inside the browser. Users can upload up to 500 images per session and prepare bulk orders.
The system was developed internally by MyPicture’s parent company, The Customization Group, rather than relying on third party platforms.
Features include real time AI driven quality checks that flag blurry or low resolution images prior to them being ordered. Editing tools are built into the browser interface, so customers can crop, rotate, and auto enhance photos.
The platform supports batch printing, which reflects how many customers typically organize photos. Instead of ordering single images, users often print collections from holidays, school events, or family gatherings in one session.
Formatting previews, orientation toggles, and finishing options such as matte prints are all available within the same browser window.
“By building the Photo Prints App in-house, we’ve gained full control over the customer journey — from upload to order,” said Emils Samoilovs, Frontend Architect at MyPicture. “It proves that with the right tools and approach, we can move fast and deliver experiences that truly match what our customers expect without being tied to external limitations.”
The Photo Prints App is now available through MyPicture’s UK website.
